September is National Suicide Prevention Month

Updated: Apr 2

Two people sit in a park. Text: "Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. LGBT youth are 4x more likely to attempt suicide."

Suicide isn't just about dying. It's about ending what feels like unrelenting pain and hopelessness. By far the greatest strength is asking for help when you or someone you know or love are drowning under the weight of life.

Help is available at the Suicide Lifeline by calling (800) 273-8255 which provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress. Or you can text the Crisis Text Line (text HELLO to 741741). Both services are free and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and all calls are confidential.

Be Well!
