Meditate Your Way Out of Stress and Anxiety

Meditation is so beneficial for supporting your sympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for increasing your heart rate, breathing pattern, blood pressure, and even anxiety during times of stress. Stress has become so common for so many of us during the current pandemic. The uncertainty of not knowing when life will return to the pre-pandemic days can be difficult and can cause unwanted mental anguish.

Everyone can benefit from a regular meditation practice. I have honestly seen so many improvements with my own health and wellness by adding meditation to my yoga practice. A regular meditation practice will also help support the vagus nerve and the parasympathetic system, which is responsible for lowering your blood pressure, proper digestion, and normal body functions. If you suffer from a wandering mind or can't fall asleep at night, meditation can help you learn how to use your breath to slow down your racing thoughts.
